courtesy?

A few weeks ago, we had this gathering.

We came upon one point when this other SAJC friend was telling us about his tutee.

There was this one lesson where he went to his tutee's place. No one was home. Totally deserted. He tried calling. No response. After multiple attempts, he gave up and left. One week later, when he called again, he found out why.

His tutee left Singapore to go overseas. All the while not informing him at all.
Reason? Forgot to tell. -.-

Irresponsible tutee, plus bullshit reason.
Needless to say, he's not teaching him anymore.

Well, at that point in time, all we could think of was, he was dam suay.

Though, suayness has a knack for knocking at your door.
My door.

I shant go into the details, but just know I was nearly found in the same situation.

Assumption is a very dangerous thought to play around with, at the expense of others.

On to other less infuriating matters;

My super busy period at my office is over for the time being. =D
After working on this particular project non-stop for the past few weeks, it is finally done.
Now there is much less stress at work. Haha.
As in, currently no deadlines to meet, so its good.

Well, my life is starting to get interesting again. Haha. After the down time from January til now, it is now starting to look up again. =)

Oh, dropped by my friend's house yesterday with two other ppl for a house visit. Glad that friend is doing well. =)

Ok, I am now out of things to write.

=S

Dam it.

Like talking to a freaking wall.

Your impatience, having been transferred to me, is not a good thing in this case.

Anyway I think I am getting the hang of this telemarketing thing. It gets quite interesting at times, especially when I manage to talk them into setting up appointments...haha. I feel like those door to door salesmen.. -.-

Its good to have other, er, if you can call them, 'distractions' to keep your mind from those thoughts that'd ruin your day. Otherwise I'd be letting too many little things affect my mood.

I shouldn bother so much in other human beings' business. Giving myself unnecessary trouble would be an open invitation to even more trouble.

So I should say goodbye to this phase once and for all. Good riddance.

...

Looking for something to make you laugh?
Go type in 'Thais Cheer Beer' in youtube and watch their commercial.
Gauranteed to make you laugh or at least raise an eyebrow.

I was laughing like crazy just now.
Was.
The joy had been taken away.

This moment is bad now.

*deep sigh*

yang

Just bought a 160 Gb external hard disk for $129. Haha. Heart pain sia forking out that amount at one go.

Thanks to Qi Yang for all the stuff you passed to me, and happy 21st! (in an hr's time)

Is it just me or have the days been very hot the past few days? I think I got sunburnt alrdy. -.-

Engine camp in a month's time. Should I go?

Anw, my fertile imagination had caused me some discomfort for the past week or so, though I am glad that indifference has returned me to my former self. =)

That I am actually not so bothered at all...just as I was supposed to be...right from the beginning.

chance

Once bitten, twice not shy.
Thrice getting high.

I am a victim of circumstance, and that is why I cannot accept it; this defeat?

tele talking

...and suddenly, my job description became telemarketer. lol.

Calling up those ppl overseas to try to make appointments with them for an exhibition. Truly not my cup of tea. Either I cant understand you, or you cant understand me. -.-

The only good thing was, my colleague and I could share all the funny stories we have encountered talking to them after work. Haha. Especially her old uncle one, the way she described, dam funny.

Somemore both of us were complaining that none of us could speak mandarin fluently enough to promote that exhibition to China ppl in chinese. We'd just die if we have to speak to them. Haha.

So anyway, I have been very fatigued this whole week. Lots of things to do, and when finally I thought tmr could take a load off, I get pang seh'ed. Bs. Dam disappointing. So now I am thinking if I shld indeed go back to work for the remaining half of tmr. Dam no life.

How how? Somebody introduce something fun and interesting for me to do!! ~.~

where

10 weeks till my next dental appointment. That's bs.
My bloody orthodontist just HAD to take a whole month of leave. Crap shit.

Seriously today, in the game of pool, I was put in my place. I was playing 9 ball with the counter guy, who obviously played competitively. Kena thrash, left right and centre. 7 balls left? He'd clear it in an instant. Its like watching them play on tv, and it was beautiful la. Learned a few new things. Haha. Yea, he is THAT good, and he was using a house cue...

Zzz. I think I injured my back again, in between my shoulder blades. Since last saturday morning, it'd been bothering me. Its getting worse today. Dam. Maybe I'd just break it one day and become a vegetable. -.-

The days seem a little less...sms-ish? Haha. (aka boring.lol)

Anw, I think I am starting to subconsciously look at some things differently...and this subconscious act is making me really consciously rethink some things. Though that is a line I would not want to cross. At least not as of today.

it is Sunday

Have you ever tried playing the PhotoY2K games in the arcades? The ones where u have to spot the differences between you given pictures in a set amount of time?

Haha my friend and I, for lack of better things to do, went and tried them out on fri night. Not bad la. Couldn beat the high score (obviously), but we at least could hold our own. =)
That is, until the they started playing around with shadows and it became impossibly crazy to spot the differences -.-

Sat morning. Woke up early early (8am is considered early for me) due to some unknown reason of not being able to sleep...

Wasted my time leaving house so early. For once, I was ON TIME. Though someone else was not. Zzz. Yea its you, the honey stars kid. -.-''

Met birthday boy soon after. Guitar lesson was omg-odly boring. What I spent less than 5 mins to play at home, the teacher managed to spend an entire HOUR on it. I couldn believe it. Am I paying $15 a lesson for this..???

Went to celebrate Andrew's birthday at Marina Square K Box in the evening.
Eating, singing, talking crap. Haha. The usual.
He's lucky la. None of us actually bothered to smear a slice of cake onto his face XD
He got off easy this time...haha.

SAS kids. =)

The group of us, being the smartasses we are, decided to take a cab back instead of the MRT, due to it being 'faster'. Well as fate would have it, there were hardly any taxis available for boarding, even at the esplanade taxi stand there, and it was reaching midnight soon...

After much deliberation (aka talking crap), we decided to take a bus back...haha. Well, there were no direct buses there to my place at all. Sian.

The plus point was, we bus-ed to dot's house and borrowed his car (or bro's or dad's Im not sure) and I had a first time experience driving an auto car back to my place. Nice la. I'd be too lazy to drive a manual anymore once I get used to an auto XD.

Oh, and Andrew is worse than shit at giving directions back to his place.

Anyway today I just had too much free time on my hands. Created a facebook account (eventually), and changed a blogskin. I think something simple should suffice yea?

So anyway, Happy Mother's Day to everyone concerned! Haha.

nil

I managed to hold back the urge to shoot my mouth off, at least in terms of sms'ing, on impulse. Otherwise, my piercing words could have added at least 2 more ppl to my enemies list.

So my day today was exactly how I had planned it this morning. Work, and go home in time for dinner. As straightforward as could be. I was still contemplating where to go after work, but I think my options were quite limited.

During the course of my workday I had to deal with a worse-than-shit database that caused me to not to be able to meet a deadline. Piece of crap.

And this is the story of my life.

Tmr will be a day slightly more interesting than today...but not by much.

heaven and hell

Back from Beijing! Haha.
So after much prodding from ppl, here i am to post a little abt my trip.

I dunno why, but I just find the way the Beijing ppl talk quite nice. Haha. Though to most of you you'd probably find it irritating. They'll slang and slur their words like dunno wad. Most of their "n's" will be replaced by "r's". Or actually, they like to end their sentences with something-'r'.
E.g "hai shi zou ze bianr hui bi jiao hao ar (hai shi zou ze bian hui bi jiao hao ya)"
Haha.

Anyway, if you are the sort who are afraid to jaywalk in Singapore, I think if u go Beijing you can forget about crossing any roads alrdy.
Their red lights there like no red lights ah.
U can cross with the green man and still will have cars chionging at you and horning at you for blocking their way. =.= And they'll start scolding as well. Wonderful aint it?
Its like a new mini adventure each time we cross a street...lol.

The pollution was bad. The fog, or smog more like it, can be seen very thick just 100 metres in front of you. Not to mention it makes breathing difficult...

One thing that I must say is good in Beijing is that, the soldiers there are dam vigilant. Got once we walked the wrong place, and they shouted at us to go back the way we came like they wanted to kill us liddat. Haha. Everywhere the soldiers are very at attention. The way they patrol is unbelievable la. Non stop. There's no way anyone can get past them man.

Oh and another thing, the citizens there love to bang into you on the streets. To them , you're invisible. Haha. So tit for tat lor. There was once I ended up having to shove this old lady aside for freaking pushing me so far. Lol. Aye dun be fooled by 'old lady'. They are dam strong. I almost got knocked to the ground by a bloody old man. Wth.

I think the country has seen a lot of infrastructural development. Their central area is like orchard road. Very busy and lots of high buildings. Perhaps its because of the olympics tt's causing the vast changes.

Other than that, nothing much to say. Haha.
Shopping, shopping and more shopping. Bought lots and lots of stuff. Haha. Its nice to bargain with them. =)
If not shopping, then its sightseeing.

Imperial palace.

I forgot where is this.

See that little tower at the top?

That's the one behind them. Haha. That's how far we climbed XD

I'd probably be uploading the other pics soon. Maybe in a mth or so. Haha. I am just a lazy bum. Lol.

Im a sucker for cows la. Haha when i saw this i just had to take it!

Reminded me of Shuen. Maybe cos of the similarity. LOL.

Argh. Ok I am tired of trying to recall what happened in Beijing. So I shall stop here. Haha.

Last night I had a very scary dream.
I dreamt that I, along with another person, only had 1 more day to live, and that I was going to die. It felt so dam real. Apparently I knew I was going to die of a heart attack or something of that sorts. The people ard me knew that as well. They could not do anything and just looked at me with those sad sad eyes.

In my dream, my 2nd attack would kill me. That I was sure. When I experienced the first one inside, it felt all too real and scary. Couldn breath and stuff. When I recovered from the first one, I could feel weak. No energy to do anything. I stopped feeling much emotion. All I knew was that deep down inside, I was wishing my heart out for a way out of this end. I felt so lost. To make matters worst, the other person died right in front of my eyes before me. I never felt so helpless before.

I was just waiting to die. Literally. Ppl around me cried. It tore me apart.

So you can imagine the relief when I woke up to find that I am still fine. Haha. I just stunned there on my bed for dunno how long. Just being able to breath properly was such a good feeling.

Once again, I am reminded of my morality in this world...

I dunno, but I feel this is all too, surreal. It sends a chill down my spine =(
